The Jennie Dugan Fund was established in 1995 as a legacy to Jennie Dugan, a member of the Adult and Child Psychoanalysis programs of the New York Freudian Society (currently Contemporary Freudian Society). Based on her expressed wish to provide financial assistance toward the cost of a psychoanalysis or psychotherapy for children from under-served families, the Fund was launched by Jennie’s friends and colleagues.
Grants are awarded to candidates from the Child and Adolescent Psychoanalysis Program, to Contemporary Freudian Society members who treat children and to candidates in the Anni Bergman Parent Infant Training Program.
In addition, members, candidates and affiliates who attend conferences focused on parent and child clinical issues can apply for stipends to help with fees and expenses associated with the conferences and workshops.
The Jennie Dugan Fund raises funds through tax free contributions from all levels of the Contemporary Freudian Society, as well as from their families and friends.
