About
My expertise is in the mental health issues suffered by veterans and first responders, most notably PTSD. In terms of patient triage, I view veterans and first responders needs as requiring the attention of mental health professionals such as ourselves first. The reason for this, in the spirit of what triage is all about is as follows: those who are the most damaged get seen to first. These are men and women who have spent a lifetime of service, which often equates to a lifetime of trauma. And first responders especially who are often also veterans, come to us on our worst days at our darkest times of need. In my opinion, they absolutely need us the most, during their darkest mental health crises.
I'm an only child, raised in a small town in Columbia County, New York. Dad was an executive level state library, veteran, and mom was a homemaker, freelance writer, and gardener.
