Debra A. Neumann, PhD

About

I received my PhD in Clinical Psychology as well as an MA in Theology from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology/Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA in 1992. I completed a two year post-doc at The Traumatic Stress Institute in South Windsor CT in 1994. Since then I have been in private practice in northern California (until 2005) and in the Greater DC metro area (2005 - present). I maintain a home office in the Friendship Heights area. I am on faculty at CFS PTI, and am a training and supervising analyst. I have participated in study groups with David Bell, Tito Piezancski, and am currently in a group with Lesley Caldwell focusing on The British Independent Tradition as well as Primitive Mental States.

Analytic Training

Graduate of the Contemporary Freudian Psychoanalytic Training Institute, 2013; Training and Supervising Analyst, 2018; completed New Directions Writing Program in 2022.
